Glidewave is correct, if you are a resident in the US/Canada you may create an account on ovh.ie or ovh.com/us and place your orders from there. You will need to provide some proof of address and photo id when registering with the ovh.ie site so that VAT can be removed from your account.

If you are a US Resident, you may still be able to order from ovh.ie (which requires proof (DL/Passport, Utility). However, the official US site is ovh.com/us/

Which is typical of how to use this forum. Ask questions here... look for answers in forum.ovh.co.uk.

In the UK forum, there is a sticky post called "Can I order a dedicated server from OVH? A quick guide." Is that post current?

The post is dated from 2008 and it mentions, among other things, that OVH does not sell dedicated servers in the USA or Canada (except for Quebec). It lists various OVH regional sites, such as www.ovh.co.uk, www.ovh.com, www.ovh.es, but it does not mention www.ovh.ie.
